Factors and Primes

In Maths i have been doing Factors and Primes.A Factor for example is this - Say i had number 10 10s factors would be any numbers that = 10 in times for example 2,5,1,10 two is 10s factor because 2x5=10 5x2=10 1x10=10 and 10x1=10
A Prime is -
To know what a Prime is you need to know what a Factor is. A Prime is any number that has two Factors for example 2 is a Prime because its two Factors are 2 and 1.

Golf

GOLF We have been doing Golf with a Golf Coach it has been really fun.We did this activity where we had Hulla hoop and tried to hit the ball into it if we got the ball in we got 1 point if it was in front of it we got 4 if it was touching the hoop we got 2 and if it was beside the hoop or behind it we got 3.We had teams of three and took turns hitting the ball we added up our points all together and figured out the total amount our goal was too get a lower score than last time my teams(my team was Lillymae and Jack) lowest score was 20 added up all together.My lowest score individually was 4 i got 1 once and 1 again then 2. The idea in golf is two get low scores instead of high scores the lower scores you get the better chance you get of winning.

Kereru's Writing

Kereru has been learning to write a Narrative and to hook the reader using Dialogue, Action, Describe the setting and Describe the character as well as using an Opening, Build up, Problem, Resolution and Ending. On Monday 28th of March were Describeing the Character using bored,angry,happy,scared,surprised,sad,grumpy,confused and tired.

rabbit island picnic

On friday we went to rabbit island for a picnic, it was fantastic. We had a stick race where we lay on our tumys and ran to grab a stick. We went swimming then we had lunch. There was a big sand bank and lots of people were rolling down it some other people were climbing trees and others were in the bush.
We went for 2 swims in one day Tiarne and Meila went up to the point where we can not touch the
ground. Waves went over there head we drunk lots of sea water we made sand castles. Tiarne and Meilas castle came down down down . Tiana and yasmina were helping us after we had another
swim. Me and Tiarne went to Mr neal where the water went up to his neck and it was over our head.
When we got back to our lunch box and drink one of the teachers called out lunch time so we all came down then after that we went for another swim man that was a fun day.

meilas awsome pigeon facts

The native pigeon also eats leaves, buds and flowers in northland the birds eat mostly fruit.

Since the extinton of the moa the native pigeon is now the only seed disperser with a bill big enught to swollow larger fruit


During the first world war a pigeon named che ami saved the lives of many french soldiers by carring a message across the enemy lines in the heat of the battle chr ami was shot in the chest and most of the leg which the message was carrying but got the message home safly.

Being Kind

We watched a video of Billy who had no friends. He finally found some friends.
Also did a feeling thing where we choose which side whether we like it or not - being excited, sad, grumpy and lots more.
If Mr Neal said only 10 people could go to a circus would this make you happy or sad?
Or if you couldn't go home how would you feel? (Stuck at school forever!)

We are doing a baby photo competition. we all brung in pictures of us when we were babys
and try to guess who it is.

Maths

Meila and Sapphira were doing maths about multiplication. We had to figure out equal groups using our counters and then make equations.

Which desserts to make?

We have been using the laptops to set up and choose which desserts to make. I wonder which ones we will choose?

Amazing workers.

we were colouring icecreams and figuring out how to make different icecreams using 4 flavours. Some people did a number puzzle and tryed to figure out the missing number.

Baking

On Thursday we did baking and made boysenberry muffins and scones. We looked on the food pyramid and found that most of our ingredients were from eat some and eat little. Next time we will make something healthy like a healthy sandwich.
