EARTH HOUR - The World Is In Our Hands

This Saturday night at 8.30pm people all over the world will switch off their lights for one hour. Hopefully these 'votes for the Earth' will let the world leaders know that we care about the planet and they will make laws to help stop the problem of global warming. We have been finding out about it at www.earthhour.org and you can do cool stuff too like take a picture of the world in your hands!! Anyone can register their vote and the target is for 1 billion people to switch their lights off. We will be in Golden Bay on Sat at 8.30pm so we might go out and check out the stars from the beach or have a candlelight supper. What will you do??

Today we were learning to draw beautiful, bright Sun flowers. We had to look at the shapes and most importantly keep looking at the object we were drawing!

One rainy Friday Mrs Scorrar brought Pickles in. The Middles made such a mess that you could barely stand. Secondly we made toys. It was so much fun. I had a ball. Then we had lunch. Yummy! During lunch the raucous Seniors crowded poor old Pickles. Well after lunch we drew super Pickles. The drawings were fantastic. I am surrounded by some sort of aliens that are looking at me with one thousand eyes. They are feeding me alien food to control me and my brain. I feel ike I'm a dot in the wind and twenty ghosts are closing in and I am trapped. By Sapphira

I am Pickles...

What type of creatures are they? I am staring down at some extraordinary animals, creatures, oh what should I call them? Suddenly a roar echoes around my tiny head. I am chewing a nice blue, wait, wait yellow, hold on a minute, it is a green pen. Extraordinarily fast I am pushed onto a creature. Suddenly I am out in the rain - no, no, not again- eyes, that's all I can see. Eyes, they're everywhere. I can't wait until I get home to Dippy and Phoenix. By Elizabeth

Pickles

Pickles came to school today, we all loved playing with her. She climbs on our arms and even on our head! We got to write stories pretending we were Pickles and invented new toys for her to play with.  

STAR WARS EXHIBIT

We went to the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. I bought a new watch in the Powerhouse. The Star Wars exhibit had lots of robots, models and costumes from the film. We rode on a hovercraft and it felt like we were driving on the sand. This is me and Tom running away from the Wampa! We also went to Taronga Zoo and saw an amazing bird show, this huge bird flew right over our heads, it is a condor. by Jed.
